Are 2 Red Eared Sliders better than 1?

I have a Red Eared Slider thats 1 and a quarter inch long and I was wondering if he would be happier or healthier if i got another one the same size?

Are 2 Red Eared Sliders better than 1?
are 2 ears better than 1?

are 2 heads betther than 1?

prolly, if they are compatible
Reply:Assuming they are compatible, it can be nice for your turtles to have one another for company.

But do know, they are very competitve over territory and food, so it would most likey not be a good idea to place them into a small tank and have them eat together.

I have had sliders for a long time, and have come to the conclusion that they prefer to be seperate when eating and when the tank isn't that big enough to swim laps in. Whenever I had two living in the same tank, the one that would be a bit bigger or stronger would always bully the other. Once I even had to seperate them into different tanks due to the stronger one scratching the weaker one's eyes.

As long as the tank is big enough for two and your slider isn't aggresive, you should be fine!!! ;)
Reply:Since your turtle is a baby him and the new turtle should get along. I have 2 red eared slider, and they have been together since babies. But an adult added in with another adult might result in fighting...anyways, good luck!
