How long for baby slider turtle to get full grown?
ok, well from what i read, it says that it takes 5 years for a slider turtle to be fully mature... so im not sure if that means fully grown or what...

anyways, its illegal for a pet store to sell any turtle smaller than 4 inches big.. this is because of the samenella scare back in the 70's... just make sure you wash your hands really well after handling the turtle, because you can get really sick...
Reply:He will continue to grow until at least 2 or 3, and will be considerably bigger within a year. Eventually he will be around 12 inches long, and contrary to popular belief they will continue growing regardless of the size of tank you put him in. Go back to where you got him from and buy a book on care.
Reply:My slider is about 2 and has stopped growing, however they grow bigger depending on the size of their tank. Mine is in a 30 gallon tank and is about the size of a cereal bowl, but I have heard of them being in huge tanks and being the size of volleyballs. Hope this helps you in some way :)
Reply:about 12 years
