How to remove the slider on a horizontal sliding window?

I broke the sliding part of the window and i was wonderin if i can just remove the sliding part and take it to a window company to get it fixed rather than having them come out to fix it. Can i take that part out?

How to remove the slider on a horizontal sliding window?
Mine can be removed, but it is difficult to get them out. I have to open the window enough to get my hand around the slider, push up into the track on the top while pulling the bottom out of the lower track and the entire window and frame around the window will come out of both tracks.
Reply:Ours can be lifted up and then out towards you. I think most are made like this. Good luck.
Reply:Look to see if there are a couple of slots at the closed end of your slider window (the side that is stationary), in the track. On some sliders, if you open the sliding side totally the slider end will hit the slots and the window can be swung out and removed by tilting.

On some others, you can try to just lift the sliding window up and see if it clears the top of the bottom slider track. If so, just pull the slider out a bit and let the whole window drop from the upper track. Some sliders used to be made that way, with more space at the top than at the bottom, so you could clear the bottom from the rail and still have a sliding window when you put it back into place.
