Whats the diffrence between Red Ear Sliders and Yellow Ear sliders.?

Does any one know the diffrence and were I can buy one. Perferably in Mass.

Whats the diffrence between Red Ear Sliders and Yellow Ear sliders.?
They are closely related- both are sliders. The Red-ear is actually a sub-species of the Yellow-Belly Slider (not 'yellow-ear'). Their cares are almost identical.

Try http://www.redearslider.com or http://www.austinsturtlepage.com for more care info.
Reply:they are both a type of pond turtle and thier body shape, size, and thier behavoirs are nearly identical, the RES usually has more green, and the YES has more black, the RES has a orange/red stripe on his head and thin yellow lines on its carapace (back of shell), the YES has a yellow bloth on its head and thick yellow bands on its carapace. RES are sold at practically every pet store, but YES can be very difficult to find.
Reply:The difference is observational.... one has a red stripe on the side of the head and the other has a yellow stripe. Red eared turtles are sold almost everywhere (even the illegal ones that are under 4 inches in the shell) ... the yellow eared turtles, you will have to hunt for a seller...
