Are you sure they are worms?? Sounds like poop to me.
Reply:I agree with Ryan C sounds like planeria or nematodes. Both harmless but come from overfeeding.
Reply:i had things that looked like worms in my tank %26amp; it turned out it was a parasite. best thing to do is take everything out and rinse it with hot water from the tap. the chlorine in the water should kill anything living in the rocks, hides, etc.
Reply:Those little white worms sound like planeria worms they can develope when there is a lot of extra un eaten food at the bottom I have never heard of them being harmefull to fish but you can get rid of them by cleaning your tank regularily and purchasing a tank vaccum for the rocks this should get rid of your problem if not... talk to a fish expert at a local fish store.
Reply:i have the same problem... it doesnt seem to bother my turtle or fish though
