--Remove the upper covers (between the lower cowl and fuel tank).

--Locate the motor mounts that the sliders bolt to.

--Use a ruller and measure from the edges of the cowl to the center of the motor mount (measure from the top, down to and from the rear, in to).

--Using those measurements, make a mark on the lower cowl (this will give you a starting point to drill the hole).

--Drill a small hole (about 4mm).

--Keep drilling through that hole with larger drill bits (small increments so the plastic doesn't crack).

--Each time you finish with a drill, look through the hole to see if it's centered where the motor mount is.

--If the hole is off-center, put sideways pressure on the drill bit to line up the hole with the motor mount.

--When the hole gets to large for any more drill bits, either use sideways pressure with the drill bit, or use a die grinder bit.

--Do the work one step at a time. Check what you've just done. Then determine what you have to do next, before picking up another tool. Take your time and do it right.
