my sister sayes they onle live 10 years.I think shes wrong,can you tell me.

How long can red eared sliders live?
My daughter and bf have eleven turtles, as least six of which are red sliders. The oldest is currently 14, but she's been told they can live over thirty years.
Reply:In the wild, they can live about 20 years. In captivity, they have been known to live up to 40 years. It all depends on how they are cared for.
