Will red ear sliders eat sucker fish?

i have 3, one year old red ear sliders, they're happy, they're healthy.. but my question is.. i was reading something online about sucker fish and how they can help keep the tank clean and more healthy for the turtles.. now i wouldnt mind having them in the tank, but my res turtles are pretty vicious and will eat just about anything, so im afraid that the second i put the sucker fish in it will b eaten.. so my question is, will my turtles eat the sucker fish. im sure they'll want a taste.. but will the sucker fish be eaten? especially because i know they dont move much, and make it very easy for the turtles to nibble on. Also, besides sucker fish.. what other fish besides guppies and goldfish would make good roommates for the turtles(without getting eaten, of course)? [Please be as detailed as possible with your answers, Thanks!]

If they see it move, they'll eat it. We feed live minnows to the turtles at the store I work at and I'm pretty sure they wouldnt' find a pleco much different and would eat it. (p.s. your "sucker fish" is called a plecosomus) I wouldn't put any live fish in there... if they are too small, the turtles will eat them and if they are too big they will create a lot of waste and just be more to clean up after...
Reply:they will prod try to eat it and theres a chance the barbs in there fin will lock in there mouth and both well die if not a trip to the vet
Reply:If they can catch it, yes. I had one once that fished for goldfish.
