Red Ear Sliders laid eggs in my garden, what do I do.?

2 of my pet red ear sliders laied eggs in my garden today. I do not know what to do about it. Do I buy an incibuator, or can I leave the eggs in the garden where they laid them? I have no idea what to do and would like to get the eggs out of the nest before sundown if it is a bad idea to leave them in the nest.

I live on Long Island in NY, so you have an idea of what the weather is like.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Leave the eggs right where they are. Moving reptile eggs of any kind is extremely risky, changing the orientation of the eggs slightly can kill the embryo. The weather should not be a problem as ling as your soil has good drainage. Look for the eggs to hatch in the early fall!!!
Reply:call petsmart, petco or your vet
Reply:buy a 10 gal. tank at walmart $10and some clean peat moss and cover it with press and seal and keep a hole for airiation and make sure you have a lamp for turtles
Reply:Leave them where they are if they are furtilized they will hatch in about 45 to 60 days, alot of aquatic turtles lay their eggs around this time of year May/ June.
