Red ear sliders are very hard to care for and you need to make sure that you are willing to spend the money, time, and effort on them. They require about $500 or more bucks worth of money for their habitat. Please read through these sections on this website- http://www.redearslider.com or the forum where you can sign up and ask things before you get a turtle- http://www.redearslider.com/forum . Look online and see if you can order any. Or call around and see if anyone is selling any turtles that you could get. Shipping isnt very good with turtles so if you can find someone selling turtles near you, go and get them there.
