I have two red ear sliders and i want to make them feel like they are in a river and i want to put real plants

i am thinking puttin in ivy plants not poision ivy but just ivy or known as philodendron i know my turtles would eat the plant but if they did would they get sick or even die.

honestly, i doubt they would get sick if your sure its not poisen ivy or oak, still id look it up if i was you, just to be on the safe side. but in the wild they normally eat a bunch of plants so im sure if they can eat random plants they prolly wont get sick from it but like i said id check it out...good luck with your river

* Duckweed


* Water Hyacinth


* Water Lettuce


* Water Lily





Philodendron spp. (PHILODENDRON) Is on the TOXIC LIST; leaves; mouth irritated by plant raphides. Also be prepared for the turtles to uproot the plants! lol
