Red Eared Sliders (Terrapins) - How Much Will Full Set Up Cost?
i think about $130....just an estimate
Reply:It depends on if you want it to look good, or if you just want the plain basics. I would say $70 and up. For one turtle, the most you could spend is about $200 on a tank, unless you give it like a turtle mansion.

Good Luck with the RES.
Reply:if you really want a good home for your turtles then you would spend almost $200 on the setup. but i suggest you to get a bigger tank that way you don't have to spend a tank every year. they grow big. at one year they are expected to be about four inches. the bigger tank the better. good luck!
Reply:estimated answers on what i paid !

tank £100

uv/uvb bulb £27

clamp light £10

terrapin £25

stones £5

I final have got mine to eat bits of real food like chickin they are such good pets but smell lol I love mine to bits lol

good luck !
Reply:alot, im almost up to about maybe $100 with bedding and filters and a turtle hut that my baby loves %26lt;3 and lighting (we had the tank already)maybe less, but i dunno and i had to buy food too.....
Reply:about $150.

Main thing is the basking and UVB/VA bulbs.

Be sure to get the biggest tank for your space.

I started with a 10gallon and after about a year Im up to a 30gallon.
Reply:Your best bet is to buy as large of a tank as possible right away, because the turtle(s) will eventually grow to around 12 inches. RES' can be expensive, and can live up to over 50, so be prepared for the commitment. I'd say be prepared to spend at least $200 at hte start, and you'll have to upgrade your tank, filter, etc., regularly.
