At what age do Red-eared Sliders stop growing?

I have a male slider, who i know will reach about 9 inches or so, but I'm just curious as to how long it will take him to reach that size. Do they stop growing when they reach sexual maturity (4 years about)? He's 2 years old, and his shell is about 5 inches long.

i guess age 45
Reply:I have a red eared slider that is 32 years old. He did most of his growing in the first 10 years. He did not stop growing at sexual maturity. He is about 6 inches long now. I believe he is still growing, just more slowly.

I have heard that a turtle will not grow bigger if their tank is too small. I have always moved to a bigger tank when the turtle got bigger so I do not know if this is true or not. He is currently in a 46 gallon bow front aquarium.
Reply:most if not all reptiles grow until they die.
Reply:reptiles grow untill they die, if you keep it alive and in the correct/oversize cage, it will never stop growing
