How old / big will red ear sliders get.?

i think its a boy.

How old / big will red ear sliders get.?
They can live up to 40 years

males can be up to 8-9inches

while females can be up to 12inches

If your having trouble distinguishing Gender

The easiest way to determine whether your turtle is a male or female is to look at its claws. A males claws will be very long and the females will be shorter. Also the males tail is longer while the females is much shorter.

The mature male red eared slider has a darker red streak on his face; the females tend to look more orangey or dull.

The cloaca is located farther from the body in males, and males also may have a slightly concave (curved inward) plastron.
Reply:Males are usually smaller than females a male can get up to 10" and females 12" I currently have a male that is 9" in a 90 gallon tank and a female that is 13.5" in a 125 gallon tank. And they can live between 20 and 25 years there are some that have lived longer than that though.
Reply:well on average 9 inches but it can get to 10

a female can get 10-12 inches

so they need a very big tank to swim
