and izzit ok tu put stones in the tank??

Can i put chlorox in my Red Eared Sliders tank??
Chlorox??? NO!!!

If you want to clean out the tank, go to a Pet store ang get some reptile specific tank cleaner, I use Jurassi Clean from PetSmart.

This way, if some of it doesn't get completly cleaned out, it's not going to kill your slider.

If you want to add stones from outside, this would clean thoes off as well.

If you don't want to go the the rep. cage cleaner, then just use a small amount of dish soap to clean the rocks. Rinse them off REALLY well, and let them sit on a window sill, in the sunlight for a few days before you put them in the tank...

To clean the tank, you need to take your slider out of it and empty it out. Just try to use hot soap and scrub it out, don't use any cleaners, because they could really hurt the little guy...

To the earlier post about letting him go...Yeah...NO!! Red Eared Sliders become invasive species in many areas of the US because people think it's okay to just let them go..it's very bad for our ecosystems...you should never let any pet go in the wild...it's bad for the wild and the pet...

Hope this helps...GOOD LUCK!!!!
